2015 International Conference on Computer Vision in Remote Sensing (CVRS2015)

The 2nd International Conference on Computer Vision in Remote Sensing (CVRS2015) was held at the Science and Art Center, Xiamen University, Xiamen, China, April 28-30, 2015.

The Conference was sponsored by ISPRS WG I/3 and WG I/Va, and technically co-sponsored by IEEE GRSS and ISPRS. Other sponsors included University of Waterloo, International Cartographic Association (ICA), International Federation of Surveyors (FIG), the National Foundation of Nature Science Foundation of China (NSFC), China Society of Image and Graphics (CSIG), and Collaborative Innovation Center for Big Data Applications in Governments. The local organizers were Xiamen University, Xiamen Municipal Science & Technology Association, Xiamen Municipal Land Resources & Housing Society, and Purdue University.

Around 100 papers submitted to the conferences were peer-reviewed by at least two program committee members of the conference, resulting in 52 papers accepted and included in the proceedings. The conference proceedings will be published by IEEE eXpress Conference Publishing, and will be accessible at IEEE Xplore, and indexed by the EI.

During the three-day period of the conference, Professor Naser El-Sheimy, Canada Research Chair in Mobile Multi-sensor Systems, Professor Charles K. Toth, ISPRS Technical Commission I President, Professor Dorota A. Grejner-Brzezinska, ION President and ION Fellow, and Professor Ayman Habib, Chair of ISPRS WG I/3 gave keynote speeches.
